On the eve of Ramadan, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre supports the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan to deliver immediate food assistance to vulnerable households-in-need, orphanages, elderly nursing homes, and disabled nursing homes in Dushanbe and eight other cities and districts in Khatlon province. The humanitarian assistance contains flour, oil, sugar, and etc. Beneficiaries are selected among most vulnerable by local authorities.
A disabled children nursing home, an elderly nursing home, an orphanage, as well as more than 1,000 vulnerable families in Dushanbe has already received their shares of humanitarian aid.
Bahodur Qurboniyon, RCST Secretary General, notes that supporting those in need and vulnerable segments of society is the primary goal of the Red Crescent.
