On January 15, 2020 in the Executive Office of the Central Committee of the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan (RCST) was held the RCST Forum and the Central Conference of the RCST with the participation of members and staff.
First, the RCST Forum was held. Due to the expiration of the term of the President and Vice President of the RCST, one of the members of the Forum Dilorom Sodiqova opened the meeting. According to the agenda the following issues were considered:
– Election of the President of the RCST;
– Election of the Vice President of the RCST;
– Election of the members of the Financial Commission of the RCST;
– Election of the members of the Internal Control Commission of the RCST;
– Review of the RCST Strategy “On Disaster Risk Reduction for 2020-2024”;
– Review of the Strategy of the RCST “On the development of communications for 2020-2024”.
In connection with the election of the President of the RCST, it was proposed to postpone the candidacy of Kurbanov Said, former President of the RCST for another 5 years. After a secret ballot by members of the Association of the RCST Kurbanov S. was elected as the President of the RCST for 5 years.
Then, the Forum was chaired by Kurbanov Said, the re-elected President of the RCST, who nominated Azimzoda Saodat as the Vice President of the RCST. Following an open ballot, Azimzoda Saodat was elected Vice President of the RCST for another 5 years.
The forum also elected and approved new members of the RCST Financial Commission, the RCST Internal Control Commission, the RCST Strategy “On Disaster Risk Reduction for 2020-2024” and the RCST Strategy “On Communications Development for 2020-2024”.
After the RCST Forum, the Central Conference of the RCST under the chairmanship of S. Kurbanov, Chairman of the Central Conference of the RCST, the President of the RCST began its work.
According to the agenda, the following issues were discussed at the Central Conference of the RCST:
– Consideration of the report of the Secretary General on the results of the RCST in 2019;
– Consideration of the draft Resolution of the Central Conference “On approval of the report of the Deputy Secretary General of the RCST on the results of satellite events of the Tajik Red Crescent Society and World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day in 2019.”
– Consideration of the draft Resolution of the Central Conference “On approval of the report of the Financial Commission of the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan on the activities of the Commission in 2019”.
– Consideration of the draft Resolution of the Central Conference “On approval of the report of the Central Commission for Internal Control of the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan on the activities of the Commission in 2019”.
– Consideration of the draft Resolution of the Central Conference “On approval of the Budget of the Executive Office of the Central Committee of the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan, regional, regional and municipal branches for 2020”.
– Consideration of the draft Resolution of the Central Conference “On approval of the Work Plan of the Executive Office of the Central Committee of the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan for 2020”.
– Consideration of the draft Resolution of the Central Conference “On approval of the Plan – satellite activities of the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan for 2020”.
– Consideration of the draft Resolution of the Central Conference “On Amendments and Addenda to the Resolution of the Central Committee of the RCST of November 21, 2018, №17”.
– Consideration of the draft Resolution of the Central Conference “On the transfer of computers and printers to the balance of the secondary school №10 Dangara district of Khatlon region and the Islamic Institute of Tajikistan named after the Great Imam – Abu Hanifa.”
– Consideration of the draft Resolution of the Central Conference “On the gift of one official vehicle to the Executive Secretary of the RCST in Muminobod district of Khatlon region.”
