Within the framework of the project on “Strengthening of local and national capacities for emergency preparedness and response in high earthquake risk and natural hazard prone countries of Central Asia”, the branch of the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan in Rasht valley on April 3-5, 2022 in Fathobod village, Qalai Ob jamoat of Tojikobod district conducted training on preparation and response to emergency situations, reducing the risk of natural disasters, providing first aid, water and sanitation and climate change adaptation for 20 members of the local community and LMDC members. The objective was to enhance knowledge of communities to natural disasters and climate change by increasing preparedness in the most disaster-prone areas of Central Asia.
The project is funded by the Bureau of Humanitarian Aid of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID BHA).
