On April 1, 2024, the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan with the support of the Qatar Red Crescent Society, provided food assistance to 251 vulnerable people of Tajikistan.
From this humanitarian aid, 170 food packages were given to the vulnerable people of Dushanbe city, 15 packages were given to the State preschool educational institution “Specialized kindergarten No. 42″ of Dushanbe city, 15 packages were given to the State institution for the care of nurses in Dushanbe city through the department of social protection of the population of the Executive authorities of the Dushanbe city and 51 packages were given to the vulnerable people of the country through the staff and volunteers of the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan.
One food package for each person consists of 50 kg of wheat flour, 3 liters of vegetable oil, 3 kg of rice, 3 kg of sugar, 3 kg of pasta, 3 kg of beans, 3 kg of mung beans, 0.5 kg of dry tea and 1 kg of salt.
This good deed was realized in close cooperation with the executive authorities of the city of Dushanbe.
It has to be mentioned that the Qatar Red Crescent Society is considered one of the main partners of the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan and in previous years, this benevolent society provided charitable assistance to the vulnerable population of the Republic of Tajikistan.
