On November 08, 2024, a roundtable on introduction of draft “Analysis of Disaster Law in Tajikistan” was conducted in the conference room of the National Centre of Legislation under the President of Tajikistan (NCL).
The analysis of disaster law of Tajikistan is carried out by the NCL within the “Accelerating Local Action in Humanitarian and Health Crises” program of the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan (RCST). EU Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) provides funding for the program.
This analysis includes four fields of disaster law (International Disaster Response Law (IDRL), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Disaster Preparedness and Response (DPR), and Public Health Emergency and Law (PHE)) and provides recommendations for enhancement of disaster management legislation in Tajikistan.
At the same time, this analysis will serve as a background for the better and separate research and analysis of those four Disaster Law fields in detail.
