The RCST is implementing the Mine Risk Awareness Programme (MRE) in 23 target districts of Tajikistan. In the frame of this cooperation programme, the ICRC is supporting the RCST with financial and technical support. The mine risk awareness and safe behavior sessions are regularly disseminating by 38-trained volunteers of the RCST among 23 mines affected districts in disseminating safe behaviour rules among targeted communities groups (50% schoolchildren). In addition the ICRC works closely with the Mine Awareness Program Coordinator based in the Head Quarters of the RCST primarily focusing on capacity building. Annually the NS MRE programme covering in average 30’000 population in the target districts.
